Our Team


Albert Marsden, IT Director

Albert was educated at Bayside School in Gibraltar and obtained a BSc in Computer Science at Sheffield University. He also obtained a Diploma in Business Management from Durham University Business School. He is also ITIL accredited. Employed as a programmer in the UK before returning to Gibraltar to work with Norwich Union and Credit Suisse. He has been at Systech since 1997. When not plotting IT strategy, he is a keen Sheffield Wednesday and F1 fan.

Software Development Department:

Daniel Llamas, Software Development Manager

Danny was educated at Bayside School and was awarded a Commonwealth Scholarship to read for an MSc in Management Science with Computing at The University of Kent at Canterbury. He also holds a B.A. (Hons) in Business Information Technology from Coventry University and is a Member of the Chartered Management Institute.
He joined the Bassadone Automotive Group (BAG) in 1996 and since then has gained extensive knowledge in leading software development tools. This includes the .Net Framework and Microsoft Transact-SQL. He manages all software development projects from inception to execution and leads a team of highly skilled developers.

Alvaro Cano, Systems Developer

Alvaro was educated in Spain, and obtained a BSc in Mathematics with a specialization in Operational Research at Granada University. He was employed as a Web and Software Developer in a couple of Spanish companies before moving to work with Systech. He possesses extensive knowledge of Microsoft Access, SQL Server, ASP and PHP web pages.

Maria Auxiliadora Espejo Rodriguez, Systems Developer

Auxiliadora was educated in Spain, and obtained a BSc in Computer Science at the University of Malaga. Auxiliadora was employed as Software Developer and Systems Analyst in a couple of Spanish companies before moving to work with Systech. She possesses extensive knowledge of SQL Server, Windows applications in .NET and System Analysis.

Fergal O'Sullivan, Systems Developer, Systems Developer

Fergal was educated in Ireland and obtained a M. Eng in Computer Engineering from the University of Limerick in the area of Operating systems for Parallel Computing. Fergal has over twenty years of Systems Development experience In Financial, Telecoms and Gaming industries and describes himself as an Agile Enthusiast and Technologist.

Joanna Olkowska , Systems Developer

Joanna was educated at High School of Management and Finance in Econometrics and Computing in Wroclaw, Poland. She has over ten years of experience as a Web Application Developer and Graphic Designer. Since over a year forms part of the Systech Developers team, busy with .NET and SQL server applications.

Chris Ahearne , Systems Developer

Chris is a very experienced IT Developer gaining most of his knowledge whilst working in the gaming industry mainly for Stan James which was for over 10 years. All of Chris’ education was back in Ireland.

IT Infrastructure Department:

Antonio Urban, IT Systems Architect

Antonio was educated in Spain, where he acquired the Windows 2000 MCSE certification. He had been working in the IT department of a couple of multinational companies in Spain, before he moved to work with Systech in November 2002. Since then he has also achieved the Windows 2003 MCSE certification and the Windows Server 2008R2 MCSA certification. He is also ITIL v.3 certified. He manages our internal network, and also coordinates the operations of our Support/Systems Administration teams.

Joelle Vazquez, Systems Support Technician / Administration

Joelle was educated at Westside School and obtained her A’ Levels in Spanish and I.C.T at the Gibraltar College of Further Education. She is one of our in-house technicians, responsible for the day to day tasks and troubleshooting for the whole group of companies, and is responsible for Systech's sales and purchasing. She is one of the first points of contact for customers.

Adrian Muscat, Systems Administrator

Adrian attended bayside school and studied in DeMontfort university obtaining a BA(Hons) in Multimedia Design. He has over 10 years experience of working in IT support. He started off in Systech as one of the in-house support technicians and is now a Systems Administrator. He is a Microsoft Certified Professional and has gained the Microsoft 365 Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate and the Solutions Associate: Windows 10 certifications.

Daniella Smith, Systems Support Technician

Daniella was educated in Westside Comprehensive School and decided to further her studies and achieved a degree in IT Management for Business, at Northumbria University graduating in 2016. Daniella now has over three years experience in IT Support, having also been with us during her university placement year. Daniella is one of the in-house support technicians and is responsible for providing helpdesk support and troubleshooting.

Jesse Valverde, Trainee Support Technician

Jesse studied Environmental hazards and disaster management with a master in environmental science. Jesse is a trainee support technicians and is responsible for providing helpdesk support and troubleshooting.

David Risso, Assistant Systems Architect

David was educated at Bayside School and obtained a BSc. (Hons) in Computer Science from The University of Hertfordshire. He has worked in IT in the automotive industry for many years. He possesses an MCP in Microsoft Server technologies and is working toward obtaining certification in SQL server technologies. He has wide and varied experience in Systems Administration and support.

Danny Calamaro, Infrastructure Manager

Danny was educated at Bayside School and Gibraltar Technical College. He has worked in the Telecoms business for over 20 years undergoing training in Gibraltar and UK. His main roles have been within the IT and Internet departments but has also worked within the Mobile Core and Packet networks in his last job. Danny joined Systech in May 2013 as a Support Technician.
